The non sequitur of global warming

Yesterday's Columbus Dispatch has an article on an outbreak of African fever in Italy. According to the article, "While the outbreak was largely the result of stronger trade and travel ties, some experts think it is a sign of" global warming. Such a leap is a logical non sequitur. Regardless of the storyline, the conclusion is always global warming, and requisite government controls of course.
