Another government hack

For whatever reason, most of us want to believe the nonsense coming out of the mouths of government hacks. -- Jim

Editor:

In his article, "Everyone should be behind Third Frontier," Bruce Johnson proves that folks who spend their lives in government are out of touch with the real world.

Johnson claims the previous Third Frontier funds produced "nearly a 10-to-1 return on taxpayers' investment." Using private sector terminology when referring to government action is nonsensical. If I took Johnson for his word, I would be expecting my $1500 dividend check in the mail. But we all know no check is coming.

When Johnson and his ilk gleefully spend my money on their pet projects, the only ones benefiting are Johnson and ilk, plus the recipients of my hard earned money.

You stumbled over the key to how Hanks can reintroduce his $3MM landfill boondoggle when the economy picks up and DelCo is back in the black.

All he has to do is rename it the "Fourth Frontier". If the "Third Frontier" is high tech, then the Fourth can be "green energy", right? $100MM in annual revenue and thousands of jobs will be created, like (snap). All it takes is some slick marketing and--WAMMO--Hanks and his buddy are back in business.

Jim--your economics chops are well known, but I never knew you were a guerilla marketing guru, too.
