It's OK to vote No

A reminder on election day!

The district can go back to the ballot in November with a scaled-down issue. -- Jim

Except it will kill the rest of the school year for the kids, especially seniors and juniors.

They may be able to go back to ballot in November but the cuts will start in May, as they should.

9:56 - I see you are drinking the OFK Kool Aid. Please get a grip. You make yourself look silly.

" . . .as they should?" Wow- you have definitely been brainwashed. Sad.

Maximum negative impact for every failed levy. The district and OFK mindset is that "IF the community dare take us on, we must inflict pain and inflict it swift."

Why do this feel like Mel Gibson in Braveheart taking on the empire?

9:56....This year is paid for...next year is paid for...perhaps understanding the district's five year forecast will shed some light on your kool-aid party....
The district will not show a deficit until the 3rd year of the five year forecast. That's fiscal year '13 or July 1, 2012.

State law requires cuts list for districts that show a deficit in the 2nd year. OLSD will have $24m in CASH in year 2. NO CUTS WILL TAKE PLACE UNTIL '12-13 SCHOOL YEAR...thus allowing another shot at the ballot with a real number and plan in November!

Oh and don't forget another $12m sitting in the bank in new "hide the excess bond revenues special Andy projects" fund!

Do you really think that the OLSD will take away the busing and extracurriculars in Augustif this levy fails? If they did - they would be guaranteed to lose their 3BOARD seats to NON - OFK conservative people for 4 YEARS- Feasel & king would be the MINORITY. I think Lucas wants to retire instead of get fired! Think about it????
